Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a comprehensive ₹1,100 crore development plan for Shri Kshetra Trimbakeshwar, one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The initiative aims to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience ahead of the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Nashik.

Announced via a post on X (formerly Twitter), the plan focuses on strengthening infrastructure, upgrading water facilities, and creating spiritual amenities to support the massive influx of devotees expected during the Kumbh.

Key components of the project include:

  • Improved Road and Bridge Connectivity: Enhancing accessibility to Trimbakeshwar.

  • Water Body Restoration and Cleanliness Drives: Ensuring purified and well-maintained water sources for ritual use.

  • Upgraded Pilgrimage Infrastructure: Modern amenities to support spiritual tourism and religious activities.

CM Fadnavis emphasized the spiritual and cultural significance of Trimbakeshwar, highlighting the state's commitment to preserving its sanctity while accommodating the growing number of pilgrims.
